L'Alloix is in the middle of the Grésivaudan valley, near Saint-Vincent-de-Mercuze. The descent consists of a series of abseils in a forest setting. It's more of a roped descent. The famous 43m abseil is well worth the diversions!
Taking place over a short day, we start with a 50-minute approach. We get straight into the aesthetics with a beautiful 20-metre waterfall in a lovely clear basin. A few abseils follow before you reach the crux of the canyon, a beautiful 43-metre waterfall. One abseil follows another, with the possibility of a jump or slide depending on the conditions. This canyon is more of a ropes course, with a vertical and less playful character. Nevertheless, it's a superb forest descent in an imposing setting.
